Responsibilities:

 

-  Report on daily activities / verbal and written to the Loss Prevention Supervisor / Store Director / Regional Loss Prevention Manager.

-  Protect all Steve & Barry's assets, through awareness, communication, deterrence, prevention and apprehension on a store level

-  Make safe apprehensions and conducting safe preventions so as to reduce the extent of losses due to external theft. 

-  Work closely with store management to increase associate awareness, and to ensure that operational standards are met, and maintained as established by Company policy.

-  Manage apprehension of shoplifters / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company apprehension guidelines.

-  Prevent shoplifting incidents / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company prevention guidelines.

-  Audit compliance of external loss prevention standards.

-  Identify external exposures and recommend solutions.

-  Report all observed / suspected exposures pertaining to internal theft.

-  Participate in the promotion of shrinkage awareness of all associates.

-  Create an environment of "ownership" among all associates.

-  Complete reports and assigned duties in a timely manner.

-  Assist management to maintain operational compliance.

-  Ensure a safe working and shopping environment.

-  Report all violations of operational standards to store management and immediate supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

-  High school graduate or equivalent.

- 3-5 years retail/apparel experience and law enforcement experience, required; State certification required, where applicable.

-  Must be able to stand and walk sales floor for 8 hours at a time.

-  Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.(Minimum)

-  Must be available to work nights, weekends and rotating shifts.

-  Must be able to follow directions and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
