MANAGER DATA WAREHOUSING

The DataWarehouse Manager is responsible for managing the analytical team that directly supports the Category Managers in the data and analytical needs. Additionally, the manager is the champion for the POS DataWarehouse and, as such, assumes responsibility for its health and maintenance.





Responsibilities:


1) Manages the team of analysts that directly support the Category Management team. This includes:


a) Hiring, firing, performance appraisals, counseling


b) Supplying continuing education to maintain and improve analyst capabilities


c) Ensuring a high level of support delivered by the team to the category managers, directors, and other merchants


2) Responsible for managing the POS DataWarehouse as the user champion. This includes:


a) Maintaining a working relationship with the IT staff that supports the POS DataWarehouse


b) Ensuring that proper maintenance and enhancements are applied to the POS DataWarehouse


c) Is the primary agent in ensuring the data integrity of the POS DataWarehouse


3) Identifies and develops new opportunities to support the Category Management team. This includes:


a) development of new periodic reporting,


b) development of reporting and analysis to support existing processes, such as planograms, category reviews, promotional activities


c) integration of new data sources to existing reporting and analysis


4) Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Requirements:



Ability to develop and manage people and processes


Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


Developed analytical ability


Computer skills including Advanced Excel, SQL, AS400, MicroStrategy, Access, IRI Xlerate, ACN Category Business Planner


a BS in Business, or a related discipline

Retail experience preferred
