MBS-RIS Coordinator

POSITION PURPOSE: Merchandising Business Systems is a core group within the Retail Information Systems of 7-Eleven and supports all 5-fundamentals directly or indirectly. Most impact on the Assortment, Value and Service. Through RIS systems, we enable POS scanning, ordering, invoicing and deliveries to the stores. We provide essential information for item by item management and accurate cost and retail in support of offering customers best value. The systems also expedite store tasks which free store staff to provide customer service and a clean, friendly store environment. We leverage the system by supporting Managed Distribution which allows us to bring vendors into our system to gain efficiency and cost reductions. We will play a critical role in all data centric projects which supports the foundation of retailer initiative. The Coordinator position is responsible for the accuracy of data applied to the databases of the assigned systems. Provide administrative support to management and provide direction to associates on daily work assignments. Train associates on day to day functions of assigned systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Train data entry associates to perform daily tasks to understand how to use systems, to understand purpose of data elements, and to understand how data flows to and impacts other systems.
?Schedule, direct and evaluate daily work for assigned group of data entry associates.
?Provide general administrative support.
?Develop Merchandising reports. Develop ad hoc reports for these and other 7-Eleven staff departments as required.
?Communicate with the Division personnel on data maintenance request issues requiring resolution.
?Respond to questions from merchandising or other departments regarding data elements, set-up, data entry procedures, time-lines, etc.
?Proof all data entry work in order to insure 100% accuracy.
?Act as a Help Desk for Merchandising Support Managers, Merchandising Coordinators, Field Merchandisers, Category Managers and Category Assistants. Help them, resolve issues in submitting data, researching items, correcting problems, etc.
?Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Some college plus two years data entry/customer service experience. This individual must have an intermediate understanding of PC software - preferably Excel, Word and Access.
