Manager, General Accounting

ULTA is adding to the Finance Team:

We are now hiring a Manager, General Accounting

?

Role Responsibilities: ?

?????????? Responsible for direct supervision and development of staff accountants

?????????? Responsible for direct supervision and development of accounts receivable coordinator.

?????????? Responsible to Director of General Accounting for period and year-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reserve calculations, account reconciliations, financial statements, annual report, and various analyses.

?????????? Prepare and review sales and use tax returns.? Assist with unclaimed property compliance.

?????????? Maintain a current understanding of GAAP and ensure proper technical compliance, as well as proper internal control compliance in accordance with SOX documentation.

?????????? Actively participate in process improvements related to aggressive growth plan.

?????????? Serve as point of contact for other areas of accounting as well as external departments.

?????????? Actively assist with various audits (sales tax, unclaimed property, financial, etc.).

?????????? Perform accounting maintenance in SAP.

?????????? Participate in annual budget process.Work closely with Controller and Director of General Accounting, assisting with various routine and non-routine functions, both technical and administrative.

Prerequisites:

Education:? BS in Accounting

Experience:? Min. 5-7 years retail accounting experience, recent supervisory experience.

Skills/Competencies: ?Solid technical accounting knowledge, very strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability, experience and capability to supervise and develop accounting staff, capable of managing aggressive growth initiatives, analytical, dedicated, proficient in Excel and Word, SAP knowledge is a plus.

Certification/Registration: ?CPA required, MBA is a plus.
