This position successfully manages, motivates, and trains a team of sales associates and managers to maximize revenue and profitability with superior teamwork and customer service. Maintains the in-stock and merchandise presentation on the sales floor, which is trend-right and exhibits the highest visual standards. The manager creates the great indoors culture in the business.

Qualifications

Creates a customer centric culture with all associates: in-stock, staffing, communication, etc.

Understanding and managing hourly and/or commission compensated sales teams

Responsible for merchandising and replenishing the salesfloor to the great indoors standards

Establish exceptionally high visual standards for merchandise flow and shopability as well as daily maintenance in the department and throughout the store

Ensures stockroom integrity with the product flow team and sales managers; manages replenishment and merchandise flow activities

Provides leadership to direct reports

Manages hiring, scheduling and staffing of associates required to meet business demands

Manages the timeline and scheduling of floor moves, remodels and fixturing issues

Trains associates on customer service, merchandising, product knowledge and selling skills

Creates and exhibits a sense of ownership and empowerment in their team

Responsible for inventory management of all lines of merchandise in their departments: merchandising, inventory levels, turnover, ordering, transitioning, price integrity, in stock, clearance

Analyzes business results using the required reports, and develops and executes action plan for improvement

Reviews and acts upon store support communication; communicates issues to store support

Attends meeting as required and conducts associate communication/training meetings

Coordinates vendor/support services activities

Handles required store management duties

As a member of the store staff handles customer issues from other departments as required

Performance management of associates including daily sales, customer service, merchandising and replenishment performance

Always represents the great indoors by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor

Adheres to the great indoors code of ethics

Miscellaneous duties as requested by senior management
