Manager, Retail Advertising

We have an exciting opportunity for a MANAGER, RETAIL ADVERTISING in our Northern CA Division.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

Under general direction, manages all VendorLink advertising groups in an assigned territory.  Develops and expands advertising groups to create entities with sales volumes large enough to qualify ad group members for cooperative funds, maximize promotional funds, and gain economies of scale in advertising.

 

Qualifications Include:A Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, or closely related field.  Equivalent and directly related work experience can be substituted for degree.  Must have four or more years of recent experience as a retail advertising group manager or director with retail chain experience.  Requires six to eight years of recent experience with a retail and/or wholesale firm in the area of merchandising, promotions, and advertising.  Requires extensive and detailed knowledge of principles of marketing and advertising with an in-depth knowledge of retail advertising cooperatives.  Requires a demonstrated ability to develop credibility with members, resolve problems associated with a diverse membership, and accomplish common goals.  Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence others.  Requires proven leadership skills and the ability to work both as a team leader and team member.  Demonstrated ability to achieve results by working in partnership with individual store owners, vendors, and company representatives. Must have stand-up presentation skills including experience in representing the company to trade and industry groups.
