Manager of Retail Design and Architecture

Position Statement:

Management of the design and architectural end to end process from deal approval through store opening for retail concepts.



Job Responsibilities:

Manage architectural consultants and architectural drawing process from Pre Design through final Bid/Permit set
Communicate Real Estate perspective and design intent strategy to architectural team
Drive and maintain project schedules and milestones as determined to meet set business goals
Coordinate project activities with internal business partners (Visual Merchandising, Store Construction, Real Estate, Store Operations) and vendors
Prepare and present store plans for executive review and approval
Develop, communicate and implement brand design standards
Foster communication and build relationships with landlords and project teams
Assist in the further development of department protocols and communication tools to include: Design Directives, Drawing Distribution, Project Web Site



Job Requirements:

Strong technical skills with thorough understanding of architectural drawing process requirements.
Excellent problem solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in differing phases with competing priorities
Result oriented, team player
Proficient in Microsoft office applications, CADD experience desirable
Bachelors degree in Architecture or Interior Design
5 years minimum retail experience
Travel as required
