Market Manager - Salt Lake City

The Market Manager’s purpose is to assist the District Manager in the management needs of several stores.

 Position Responsibilities
Ensure the Store Management staffs have all the tools necessary to effectively and efficiently manage their stores.
Ensure customers are 100% satisfied. Communicate with customers in person or via the telephone and provide requested information and/or research and solve any complaints.
Supervise and direct Management and store associates in the completion of their duties.
Perform human resources functions (i.e. hiring, scheduling, training, disciplining, termination, etc.)
Monitor and control expenses (selling and non-selling).  Analyze profit and loss statements and communicate the appropriate information/results to store management.
Review and approve daily, weekly, monthly and annual paperwork as necessary.
Communicate policy/procedure changes to Management and store associates.
Ensure proper security, sanitation and safety guidelines are adhered to by Management and store associates.
Complete projects/tasks as assigned by the District Manager and Corporate office.
Ensure all OfficeMax store policies and procedures are followed.
Demonstrates a commitment to OfficeMax core values of safety, integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Supervise two or three stores.


Three to five years relevant work experience
Able to handle customer inquiries/complaints either over the telephone or in person in a professional manner
Able to demonstrate teamwork, professionalism and the achievement of high levels of productivity to associates, peers and superiors
Able to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines
Able to understand and operate computer systems relevant to the Market Manager’s duties
Able to contribute to the development of Management and associates through training, communication, recognition and support
Maintain productivity standards established by OfficeMax for Market Managers and achieve personal performance goals established by the District Manager
