Merchandise Analyst

The Bon-Ton Department Stores, Inc. operates under the nameplates of Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger's and Younkers.  With 279 stores in 23 states, we are the second largest regional department store in the country.  The total company sales volume is $3.4 billion.  The responsibilities of the Merchandise Analyst are as follows but not limited to: Act as system owner backup supporting merchant reporting for financial and vendor data including iAnalyze, Vendor Financial Reporting, MISL/MIDAS, Coupon Reporting and Arthur Stock Projections.  Produce, maintain and revise reports on a timely basis for Merchants, Senior Management and Stores.  Ensure vendor allowances are being processed according to company policy.  Assist with corporate open to buy projections weekly.  Coach, train and support Merchant staff to improve data integrity and provide timely, accurate data.  Complete additional tasks as assigned.

 

The candidate we seek will have a Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years related experience and/or training.  Exceptional PC skills is a must and experience with merchandise systems is preferred.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend course of action based on analysis is required. Knowledge of a retail environment and related business processes is preferred.  Strong organization skills and flexibility when  managing multiple priorities, the ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of management and strong problem appraisal skills is a must.  This position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
