Merchandise Planner, Online Buyer

Major Responsibilities: Manage the financial success of multiple divisions by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and inventory turn goals
Direct and manage the activities and career development of the planning staff
Develop and present seasonal strategies and financial plans with planning director and merchandising/marketing partners, and lead planning staff to develop style to department plans
Lead planning staff to develop bottom-up plans and manage the reconciliation to departmental and divisional plans
Direct in-season forecasts of sales and inventory on a weekly/monthly basis with planners and merchandising; recommend strategies to achieve financial goals
Present divisional forecasted sales and inventory in monthly financial meetings
Participate in and/or lead company initiatives as appropriate
Partner closely with team leaders to ensure cross-functional and cross-channel processes and strategies are aligned
Ensure cross-functional collaboration within team
Develop and maintain cross-divisional peer relationships to share best practices
Cultivate a collaborative, creative, results-oriented work environment

 

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
2-4 years experience as a Planner or equivalent (minimum 1 year manager experience preferred)
Some supervisory or coaching related experience
Demonstrated ability to manage business in an entrepreneurial manner and demonstrate independent decision making abilities.
Demonstrated success at building business partnerships
Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
Communicates well at all levels of the organization
