Merchandise Planner - Women's

To meet the demands of our dramatic store growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our planning team as a Merchandise Planner.



Major responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Develop, execute and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising and financial objectives of the Company
Create preseason sales, margin and inventory plans by department class that support product and financial strategies
Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class
Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate strategies that align future financial and product opportunities in the area
Forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly basis
Present forecasts and action plans in monthly open-to-buy meetings
Recap end-of-season best-sellers by category
Develop and communicate item-level promotional and markdown strategies on a weekly basis
Recap and analyze actual sales results against plan and LY
Analyze and communicate size and color selling to impact future receipts
Work with Production to effectively manage flow of inventory into the warehouse
Collaborate with Store Planning & Distribution Analysts to ensure proper distribution of key items

 

The qualified candidate will have 3-5 years of merchandise planning or related financial/analytical experience with the ability to demonstrate global business analysis and strategic/innovative thinking skills. Strong listening, written and oral communication skills are a must as well as the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. The ability to negotiate and influence peers and members of a cross-functional team is essential to success.
