KEY FUNCTIONS

Manages the process of creation, documentation, and distribution of all Planogram materials. Directly responsible for managing the overall presentation and final productivity of all planograms.  Manages planogram production timelines to keep programs on schedule.  Creates communications of procedures and specific instructions for all planograms.  Manages each category (Program) as a separate project.  Develops detailed communications, Autocad drawings, detailed reports on product disposition, updates and maintains bin label descriptions prior to any program being printed and rolled out to the stores.  Manages each separate project collate to combine all the materials required to be sent to the stores to implement specific programs. Frequently required to manage and direct temporary staff and vendors to combine and ship all planogram related materials to the stores (bin labels, planograms, diagrams, signage, and displays).  Responsible for communication of potential problems within each program between Merchandise Manager, Vendor and Stores. Problems that become apparent after a program or product has arrived in stores requires prompt problem solving and communication.  Key contact for corporate office, field personnel and vendors for all problems and questions related to planograms (solving the problems associated with variable requirements for physical space limitations, Loss Prevention, Environmental, and Legal concerns.)  Handles and logs telephone and email correspondence from stores, DM?s and RVP?s to meet store needs.  Maintains a state-of-the-art planogram facility used not only for product presentation and planogram production but also as a showplace used by CSK Auto executives when required.  Maintains a filing system for over 100 program categories and over 1,000 different versions of planograms.  Manages all product samples being shipped from numerous vendors to be used in the planogram process.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate with college preferred

Self Starter and self directed work experience preferred

Excellent time management and problem solving skills

Highly organized with ability to meet strict timelines while working on several projects at various levels of completion

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Extensive background in retail merchandising related to product placement and retail management preferred

AS400 experience and P/C Database management helpful

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Previous ?Hands On? merchandising design skills

Able to manage detailed project task plans

Detail oriented

Proficiency with variety of MS Office based programs

High energy individual able to work with groups and alone
