Merchandiser / Service Rep - East Iowa

MERCHANDISER 

 

National Vendor Services (NVS) is a full-service merchandising organization. Since 1991, NVS has had a successful relationship with Lowe's? Home Improvement Warehouse stores through its integral role in the store's operations. Our dedicated professionals perform merchandising services, training, new store sets, inventory control, and resets exclusively for Lowe?s and over 30 manufacturers. Through our affiliation with National Product Services (NPS), NVS has access to the requisite capital and organizational resources, including over 3,000 employees currently servicing retailers.

The primary focus of this position will be to assist the Reset Specialist and Reset team with the completion of reset work throughout Lowe?s Home Improvement Warehouse Stores according to the accepted master reset schedule. This position will cover a territory of 8 stores between Des Moines and Davenport.  This position is also responsible for ensuring that exceptional customer service is maintained within all Departments and may include some service work in Fashion Lighting, Fashion Plumbing, and/or Outdoor Power Equipment as requested. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

▪Assist the Reset Specialist with various Resets being performed in various locations throughout an assigned territory
▪Maintain plan-o-gram integrity
▪Maintain vendor displays
▪Reports completing of reset work on Interactive Voice Response System
▪Ensure product area is clean and well maintained, according to vendor specifications
▪If there are no resets required; you MAY be asked to perform routine service work in Fashion Lighting, Fashion Plumbing and/or Outdoor Power Equipment as requested by your District Manager
▪Complete periodic surveys, and report the results of those surveys.
▪Complete minor plan-o-gram changes, as required
▪ Participate in Special Events, as needed
▪ Work in new store openings and re-merch projects, as needed
▪ Understand vendor-specific product knowledge, and communicate that knowledge to Lowe?s personnel when requested
▪ Provide continuous courteous and professional customer service to vendors, Lowe?s personnel and Lowe?s customers

Position Requirements:
▪1-3 years experience working in retail/retail services environment
▪Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and achieve results
▪High School diploma or equivalent
▪Must have reliable transportation and proof of valid license and insurance

SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE- OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT

 

This position provides merchandising and related services for products offered for sale in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) Department within assigned Lowe's Home Improvement Stores in the area. Position covers 8 stores between Des Moines and Davenport.  This position is also responsible for ensuring that exceptional customer service is maintained with Lowe's personnel.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

? Complete Service Calls in the OPE Department within assigned Lowe's stores

? Maintain plan-o-gram integrity

? Maintain vendor displays

? Ensure product area is clean and will maintained, according to vendor specifications

? Maintain and replace POP, as needed

? Understand vendor-specific product knowledge, and communicate that knowledge to Lowe's personnel when requested

? Perform reset work, as required

? Provide continuous courteous and professional customer service to vendors, Lowe's personnel, and Lowe's customers

? Participate in Special Events, as needed

? Complete periodic surveys, as needed

? Assist in New Store openings, as needed

 

Position Requirements:

? 2-3 years experience working in a Retail environment

? Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and achieve results

? High school diploma, or equivalent

? Must be computer literate

? Working knowledge of a PDA (Personal Data Assistant Device)

? Must have reliable transportation and proof of valid insurance
