We seek dedicated and successful candidates for our FRAMINGHAM, MA store for:

-PET CARE MANAGER
Responsible for the successful operation & supervision of the Live Pet departments including care, feeding, handling, medical attention, sales & customer service of fish, birds, reptiles, small animals (ie: hamsters, chinchillas, mice, fancy rats etc.). Assist in merchandising department, maintenance of dept. and equipment, adoption center. Oversee store in other managers absence to include opening/closing, cash control & customer service, etc. Train, develop, coach & direct pet care associates and other store staff. Other duties as required. Requires days, nights, weekends availability - 45 hours average per week.

Essential Job Functions

- Ensuring the health and safety of the pets in our care

- Demonstrate solid knowledge about Pet Care and Pet Care Safety.

- Maintain Pet Care standards

- Orders and receives all pets and supplies for the Pet Care Department, and manages inventory levels

- Ensure Positive Customer Experience

- Develop your team: Coaching, Training, Performance Reviews, etc.

- Presentation of the Pet Care department ? including ordering of live pets

- System Maintenance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CANDIDATES:
* Successful experience in similar retail management role applying for
* A passion for pets & people to provide the BEST customer service
* A solid track record in recruiting, developing, motivating & leading a diverse team to success
* Ability to drive sales, profitability and business goals
