OSH Store Manager

Orchard Supply Hardware is one of California?s largest hardware and garden retail chains. With a rich heritage dating back to 1931, Orchard began as a farmers? cooperative in Santa Clara Valley offering supplies to local growers. Based in San Jose, Orchard Supply Hardware is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck and Co.


The Store Manager profitably manages the store through positively influencing sales and controlling expenses. He/she defines the standard of performance for his/her store, clearly communicates that expectation to all associates, and evaluates the execution of that performance. The Store Manager is responsible for managing the performance level of all salaried managers. He/she directly supervises, develops, and evaluates the First Assistant Manager, HR Manager, Merchandise Manager, and the Commercial Services Manager. Position is in Northern California (North Bay).

Qualifications
Candidate will have a college degree and/or equivalent work experience; 3-4 years management experience preferably in a multi-outlet retail home improvement/hardware chain; working knowledge of a PC, and POS systems; financial literacy; excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening); and multi-task oriented
