Part Time Sales Merchandiser

* Opportunity for an individual looking for responsibility in achieving sales and merchandising plan objectives as per the territory/regional plan.

An individual able to manage consistent coverage of calls within his/her territory and for improving/maintaining shelf presence of products on assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:
Implement a merchandising strategy as per sales and marketing plans. Developing effective/efficient merchandising coverage for accounts.
Follow-up on plans, by account, to insure compliance with temporary price reductions, displays, Shop in Shops, and other initiatives
Pro-actively manage pricing, shelf, display positioning
Encourage and promote store compliance to head office on approved programs
Ensure inventory levels are being checks for and maintained at adequate levels to avoid out-of-stocks,
Conduct shelf reline where necessary in order to enforce plan-o-grams and/or increase shelf space, as well as clearance of damages on all products

Requirements:
Strong communication and fact-based skills
Ability to develop accurate forecasts
Excellent verbal, written, formal presentation, and negotiation skills
Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40lbs unaided
Daily access to personal computer/printer/email attachments
Must live in territory with reliable transportation

Experience:
Field sales, retail, merchandising experience - preferred
Experience in a direct sales organization - preferred
