Sales Associate

The basic function of the Sales Associate is to drive profitable sales growth and attract and retain customers by delivering exceptional service.  This will be accomplished through development of a positive and productive retail-selling environment that ensures premier customer service.  The essential functions of this position include the following:

1. Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and by practicing/role-playing effective retail sales skills

2. As approved by state law, fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit and adapt  

lenses and frames, utilizing optical prescription

? Evaluate prescription in conjunction with visual requirements

? Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames

? Assist in selection of frames, according to style and color, coordinating frames with Optical measurements and prescription

? Measure guest?s bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance pupillary distance and optical centers using millimeter rule

 3.  Ensure high quality/timely product manufacturing/fabrication as measured by:
Accurate input of prescription and eyeglass order/instructions
Verify finished lenses are ground to specification

 4.  Dispense quality product
Heat, shape or bend frames to adjust eyeglasses to fit
Instruct customer in adapting to, wearing, and caring for eyeglasses

 5.  Assist with merchandising and presenting stores, according to standards as measured by:
Compliance with plan-o-grams and assisting with implementation of approved marketing programs.
Compliance with visual appearance inside and outside of store (i.e., signage)
Maintenance of overall standards (i.e. cleanliness, housekeeping)

 6.  Performs additional responsibilities as needed or directed.

 

Assistant Manager

You will use your experience and ability to motivate people for key responsibilities in operations, profitability, recruitment, training, administration and inventory control. You'll be dedicated to giving the best in customer service and creating a team, which reflects that commitment. This entails using your creativity and building and environment where people are encouraged to exceed expectations.

 

Assistant Manager Job Qualifications:

1+ years of management/supervisory experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills with

Proven problem solving abilities

Familiarity with cash registers and computers

Previous customer service and/or retail experience preferred

Strong ability to drive sales and achieve sales targets
