We have 16 Photo Development Specialist positions located at each of our Region offices across the nation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the category management of the Photo department. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

The associate is responsible for the functions below in addition to other duties as assigned: Analyze sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Develop assortment plans by category, camera, film, and batteries. Oversee category advertising for film and processing which includes assortment, product mix, sales, and gross margins. Develop off-shelf promotions. Develop and manage pricing strategies, category sales plans, and incremental income. Create and implement the corporate Photo department business strategy. Manage the inventory of product life cycle and promotional purchases. Act as liaison between Rite Aid Corporation and Qualex. Train store associates in photo processing using Qualex materials and one-hour lab; resolve customer complaints with regard to photo finishing. Interact with suppliers for assortment selection; participate in vendor trade shows.

Frequent travel, mostly day trips with occasional overnight trips Ability to work extended days on a frequent basis. Proficiency with the Microsoft? Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).


This position requires: A valid driver?s license for business travel. Health, Safety, and Environment program certificate (OSHA required).


EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business, Marketing, or Communications, plus three (3) years' experience in photo management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, the associate should have experience in retail store management and training.
