Planner Trainee

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Merchandise Planner Trainee for our Babies "R" Us Division. Responsibilities include partnering with the Sr Planner to assist with the creation and adjustments of plans and forecast for specific merchandise categories such as sales, margin, inventory turn, receipts and markdowns. A planner trainee will assist the planner utilize the appropriate allocation method (plan, trend, blend trend etc); manage the Open to Buy (OTB) to the plans; and performs business analysis (margin analysis, cost modeling, and performance management) to facilitate and validate merchandising decision-making.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree or commensurate retail experience. Minimum 1-2 years in retail industry in planning/inventory management/business analysis. Strong quantitative skills, and planning and forecasting skills. Excellent communications skills. Capable of presenting analysis and recommendations to key world executives and team members.
