Plano Store Manager

Overview:

A Parker School Uniform Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of running a profitable store. The manager is responsible for a positive work environment to ensure success in all aspects of customer service, profitable operations, personnel development, store operations, and relationships with our current and future schools.

Major responsibilities include:

- Maintain highest level of customer service throughout the store
- Actively pursue and sign new school accounts by managing sales opportunities
- Maintain a close working relationship with existing schools through constant communication with administration
- Maintain proper channels of communication between store and corporate
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop employees to be courteous and efficient
- Attain sales and profitability goals for store through effective budgeting, inventory control and acquiring new accounts
- Maintain adequate staffing
- Maintain store standards for visual presentation, security, human resources, operations and safety
- Monitor store profitability and budgets
- Review shipping and receiving paperwork for inventory accuracy
- Prepare and conduct store inventory
- Maintain a clean and orderly store
- Plan presentations for new and existing schools
- Attend specified conventions
- Effectively communicate with all Parker employees, store and corporate, to ensure all school uniform changes, sample requests and donations are done in a timely manner
- Complete projections in a timely and accurate manner

- Ability to train and develop staff and utilize their strengths most effectively
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate and instruct employees in a concise manner

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a college degree, 2 to 4 years of retail managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of both education and retail experience. Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and email are required. Must be willing to work Saturdays and the back to school season.
