Produce Team Leader (Department Manager)

We are looking for a Produce Team Leader (Department Manager) for our Plano store in the Dallas metro area. The Produce Team Leader will hire, develop and lead the entire Produce Team and is accountable for all department operations.

Responsibilities Include:
∙ Team Member hiring and supervision
∙ Overseeing buying and merchandising department products
∙ Managing financials
∙ Controlling inventory
∙ Demonstrate advanced product knowledge
∙ Establish and maintain positive vendor relations
∙ Complying with relevant regulations and standards
∙ Completing specials projects as assigned

Requirements/Essential Functions:
∙ The position requires at least 4 or more years of supervisory, managerial or leadership experience overseeing 12 or more employees in a retail, food or service industry.
∙ Very strong produce background is required
∙ Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
∙ Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
∙ Excellent communication and customer service skills
∙ The ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed
