JOB SUMMARY: 

Provide excellent customer service by way of sales, product restock, advice, information, and assistance to our guests, while performing a variety of routine duties involving a number of manual and other related operations.  Typical tasks will include cleaning and minor maintenance work to maintain Yankee Candle Flagship Store & Chandler's physical facilities as a clean and pleasant environment for both guests and Yankee Candle Company staff.  Areas requiring routine attention will include the entire Flagship Store, caf?s, Chandler's Restaurant, the Employee Fitness Center, the exterior grounds and parking. Perform other duties as necessary for the position.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:At least 1 year of custodial/maintenance experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and a wide variety of customer assistance and information.  Previous customer service experience would be preferred.Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.A valid driver?s license and a good driving record required.Demonstrated ability to exert physical effort up to 40% of the time to handle weights over 60 lbs.  The ability to safely operate a variety of power tools such as drills, saws, and etc., as well as common hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers.The ability to drive and or operate power equipment such as All Terrain vehicles, lawn tractors, and snow blowers.Experience in maintaining a professional floor care program including VCT, Marmoleum and Carpet.Ability to perform Preventative Maintenance programs for all related P&GS equipment such as scissor lifts, compressors, company vehicles, etc. Troubleshoot potential issues for repairs and reporting purposes.Ability to work independently as well as a team.
