Quality Maintenance Technician

This position reports to the District Facilities Manager and is a member of a Quality Maintenance Team, providing preventative maintenance and repair services, and review of in-store maintenance procedures for a specified group of facilities. The person seeking this position should be a self-starter, disciplined in completing tasks in the required time frame, and have a mechanical aptitude. Travel is required daily, overnight stays and emergency situations may require after hours work.

Qualifications
Quality Maintenance Technician must be proficient in two or more areas.

HVAC

Perform seasonal start up/shut down on chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and HVAC Roof Top Units.

Change out compressors, motors.

Change oil, filters, and air filters.

Perform Preventative Maintenance checks on chillers, boilers, roof top units, pumps and cooling towers (Respiratory use required during tower clean out; facial hair is prohibited at these times.)


COMMUNICATIONS

Does maintenance on the store phone system

Run phone line drops from phone room or cabinet, with tested terminations

Complete MAC work requests


POS / ELECTRONIC

Performs basic troubleshooting and component replacement on small electronic devices

Works with Help Desk to escalate problem resolution, for POS and PBX systems

Works with contract vendors to complete problem resolution or installations

Accesses applications and web sites to receive work orders and support

Utilizes the HP Support 1HD and web sites to perform printer repairs

Utilizes the SUMBOL web portal for parts ordering

Utilizes the DSI web site for sound system troubleshooting

Does Ethernet wiring / fiber optic cabling, according to Sears standards

Does Radio Frequency (RF) Access Points installs and troubleshooting

Performs maitenance check ups on Fire Protection System / CCTV / Alarm Systems

Maintains material handling equipment ( docks, lifts, balers, compactors,etc)

Performs Preventative Maintenance checks on Paint Machines

ELECTRICAL

Replace ballasts and transformers.

Replace breakers.

Repair wiring.

Perform Preventative Maintenance check ups on Emergency Lighting and generators

Perform Preventative Maintenance check ups on Lighting Panels

PLUMBING

Repair and maintain sprinklers.

Perform Sprinkler Testing as required

Repair piping and fixtures.

Perform Auto and Back dock Trench Cleaning

Perform Preventative Maintenance check ups on Pumps

EXTERIOR BUILDING

Perform building and grounds maintenance (potholes, minor roof repairs, inspections, tuck pointing, etc.).

Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

ROOF MAINTENANCE

Perform Minor leak repairs on single membrane, foam or built up roofs

Perform visual inspections for rips, tears, holes, loose flashings, debris, etc.

AUTOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE

Perform Preventative Maintenance check ups and minor Compressors repairs

Perform Preventative maintenance and minor Lift repairs

Perform minor repairs on backshop equipment

Perform minor repairs on overhead door

MISCELLANEOUS MAINTENANCE
Perform duties as assigned by manager.
