Rebuyer

FRED'S, Inc. has an immediate opening for two Rebuyers in our Corporate Offices located in Memphis, TN.  This position works in conjunction with the Buying Staff to insure instock levels of basic items within our two distribution centers.  This position demands an individual to meet many deadlines and much of their time is spent tracking and researching orders. Many items can affect the day to day scheduling including; vendor non-shipping or out-of-stock, carriers not delivering and orders not transmitting thru internal systems.

 

Overall responsibilities are:Work with detailed reports to determine order quantities needed to supply stores for replenishment. Key new purchase orders or amend generated orders to meet requirements needs. Work in conjunction with buyers with basic itemsTrack purchase orders via phone or Email.  Fax and file orders.  Work with warehouse receipt and/or vendor issue calls.  Report to management reasons for out of stocks. 

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and prior experience: Associates or Bachelor?s degree is required, with a specialization in merchandising is preferred. Two years experience in a related business fields such as; Marketing, Merchandising and/or Inventory/Logistic Management is preferred.Basic computer knowledge (Excel spreadsheet experience required).  Must have strong analytical skills.  Ability to communication clearly at all levels and demonstrated good time management skills. High level of organization accompanied by high sense of follow-through.Extensive data entry experience is required.
