Regional Manager - Arizona/Nevada

Are you a high achieving regional manager with multiple retail store management/region experience?? Are you looking to take your career to the next level with an industry leader??

Public Storage Inc., (NYSE: PSA) the nation's self-storage leader, seeks a Regional Manager for the Arizona and Nevada markets, which encompass Phoenix, AZ; Tucson, AZ; and Las Vegas, NV.? This position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.??

?

The successful candidate will have full managment responsibility for the?direction of ?the activities of the assigned geographic area. Dynamic Regional Managers within Public Storage organization recruit high caliber professionals to maximize revenues, minimize and control expenses through the supervision and direction of subordinates.? Demonstrated experience with??implementation of Company and Divisional training programs including sales and motivation techniques is required and essential to success in this role.?? This?position requires the ability to lead by example and motivate subordinates in a way that guarantees a high level of customer service resulting in space rentals, merchandise sales, and truck rentals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

?

>Recruit, Hire, Train, and Supervise District Managers.

>Supervise the recruitment of all other management and field staff.

>Coordinate the Public Storage District Manager Training Program.

>Supervise the activities of field supervisors and support staff to ensure standardization of Company policies, and provide direction in achieving established goals.

>Monitor performance of properties to maximize potential profitability to Company and recommend operational changes to achieve goals.

>Manage all expenses and contracts.? Ensure that all contracts with vendors and suppliers are properly documented and approved, and that work is completed according to contract specifications.

>Manage capital expenses, recommend and approve annual capital expense budget. Monitor execution of all approved capital expenditures ensuring that all contracts were properly documented and approved, and that work is performed according to contract specifications at or below budgeted cost and at acceptable quality levels.

>Recommend solutions to operational needs and challenges.

>Effectively implement new company policies, procedures, and programs within the region.

>Ensure timely, thorough, and consistent communication of changes, management of implementation, follow-up for compliance and communication of results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

?

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree from four year college or university with concentration in business administration, marketing or related field, plus 5 years experience in managing and supervising others in multi-unit locations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

?

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.? Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.? Must possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and lead others and hold them accountable for results.

?

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

A valid driver s license and appropriate car insurance.

?

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is split between a sedentary office position with employees working in a controlled office environment with the remainder of the time in the field.? The employee answers a high volume of incoming telephone calls and also requires the person to stoop, lift doors, lift objects up to 45 pounds, get in and out of a vehicle, and spend a good deal of time in an automobile.? The position utilizes a computer terminal in addition to the telephone to access and input information.?? Some travel is involved and the employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle, golf cart or similar vehicle.? Air travel is required.? Relocation may be required.
