Regional Retail Sales Manager

Cokesbury, a leading Christian Retail Bookstore has an immediate opening for a Regional Retail Sales Manager to provide leadership and management oversight for an assigned group of Cokesbury retail stores in the South Eastern Region (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky). Strives to exceed operational performance expectations in each Cokesbury location, including (1) improving year-on-year sales growth, (2) achieving Sales, Expense and Net Contribution budgets and approved objectives for inventory levels and turn, (3) promoting active participation in all national sales and promotional plans, (4) promoting active participation in customer care and acquisition programs, (5) executing successful day-to-day store operations and internal control procedures, and (6) keeping store personnel and upper management informed of local operations information.


A high school diploma, or equivalent, and formal training in business or marketing and/or significant experience in retail sales are required. Previous experience managing multi-unit and/or multi-function retail sales operation is strongly preferred. Good personal computer skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership ability and demonstrated supervisory skills. Strong understanding of retail management including merchandising and inventory control. Familiarity with Cokesbury products and/or The United Methodist Church is beneficial.
