Regional Sales Manager - East

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Division VP Retail Sales - East, directs, supervises, manages, coordinates and controls all Ready PAC broker and direct sales activities in the designated territory. Directs Brokers or conducts personally, the presentation of new items and/or programs to all retail customers in the described territory, in accordance with established costs. Will ensure timely and cost effective accomplishment of company sales goals and objectives for these regions. Coordinates, manages and supervises the Ready Pac Retail Sales program through appointed Brokers or Ready Pac associates.

Position Requirements:
? BS degree in Sales or Marketing, helpful
? Minimum 5 years experience in same or similar position
? Produce experience preferred
? Broker experience ? working for or managing, helpful
? Computer Literate ? Microsoft Office, Excel proficient
? Overnight travel 10-50%
? Occasional driving, (30%), requiring up-to-date car insurance
? Able to lift fifty (50) pounds

Position Responsibilities:
? To forecast and achieve all quotas.
? To manage existing Ready Pac retail processed business via Broker representatives and insure full compliance of all READY PAC? PRODUCE policies and procedures as they apply to brokers and customers.
? To meet the headquarters call frequency quotas as set by the Division VP Retail Sales.
? To initiate and attain headquarters authorizations on all company or select lines in all major customers within the region.
? To practice Category Management analyzing sales results of regional operations and determine variance from budget. To present READY PAC? PRODUCE programs based on category data analysis.
? To prepare annual business plans with each major customer and total territory. These business plans must include Revenue and Case sales objectives and cover the 6 Basics of our customers and Ready Pac?s needs: Distribution, Advertising, Consumer Promotion, Training, Merchandising and Operational Efficiencies.
? To prepare and conduct quarterly/annual business reviews with all major customers, utilizing both syndicated and internal data. Business reviews should cover opportunities in the 6 Basics of our customer?s needs, as listed above.
? Coordinates with corporate transportation to maintain an efficient distribution network to capitalize on the existing capacities to minimize the freight impact
? To initiate new specialty/deli sales with all appropriate retailers and regional warehouse customers in the designated area of responsibility.
? To ensure adherence to READY PAC? PRODUCE retail merchandising and product quality standards through effective broker and/or direct sales force management. Special emphasis towards achieving 100% retail availability of all READY PAC? PRODUCE authorized in each account.
? To establish and build strong relationships with key customer field produce supervision.
? To submit Region Reviews covering market conditions Division VP Retail Sales and Corporate office, once each period.
? To forecast plan ad and promotional activities, directly or in concert with Broker Account Managers, with each customer in the designated region and submit appropriate paperwork on a timely basis.
? To analyze sales results of his/her accounts and determine variance from budget
