Whole Foods Market?s Pacific Northwest Region is looking for an experienced and motivated individual ready to join our top-notch Regional Coordinator Team as our Regional Whole Body Coordinator. This position will lead and refine all Whole Body programs the region. This person will lead, develop and motivate Team Leaders while working with Store Team Leaders, the Regional President, Director of Purchasing and the Coordinator Group. The Whole Body Coordinator will continue our commitment to growth, profitability & excellence.

 

Specific duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Execute all regional and national Whole Body programs at store level

2. Act as a leader for the nutrition teams, inspiring enthusiasm, teamwork, and high morale

3. Train and mentor store personnel in how to specifically sell Whole Body products through product knowledge, sales training, and excellent customer service

4. Participate in hiring, training and job dialogs of Whole Body Team Leaders

5. Work with Whole Body Field assoc. and admin to further develop the Whole Body program in Nor Pac

6. Participate in resets and new store openings, i.e.; design resets using Plan-o-gramming, install operating systems, negotiate opening deals, train staff

7. Manage/oversee and promote the private label programs - vitamins and body care

8. Develop Whole Body departments in terms of merchandising, selling and managing categories

9. Evaluate and approve new products that meet WFM quality standards

10. Develop a core vendor base and work with the CIX data team in instituting proper item and vendor data

11. Coordinate regional price changes and maintain consistent pricing among stores

12. Negotiate regional promotions with vendors and manufactures

13. Develop margin enhancing programs with vendors

14. Actualize regional targets in sales and profits

15. Be an active part of the National Purchasing Team and communicate with other regional buyers on a regular basis

16. Participate in yearly financial planning for Whole Body teams

 

Candidates should possess the following requirements:

1. Five years of retail buying experience, multi-store preferred

2. Extensive experience and knowledge of the nutrition industry and products

3. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with vendors and manufacturers

4. Proven leadership skills and success at mentoring

5. Great support and communication skills, both written and verbal

6. Computer literacy (Excel and Word)

7. Able to travel extensively to Oregon, Washington, California and B.C. (Canada)

8. Understanding of margins and how to achieve them without price increase

9. Exceptional organizational, prioritization and follow-through skills
