Replenishment Buyer-Food Retailing

Roundy's Supermarket, Inc., one of the nation's premier food retail companies, is looking for a Replenishment Buyer to be located at its home office in downtown Milwaukee. Roundy's today is a company of 21,000 employees, exceeding $4 billion in annual sales, and undergoing tremendous growth. Company-owned and operated supermarkets include Pick ?n Save stores and Copps Food Centers in Wisconsin and Rainbow Foods in Minnesota. The Replenishment Buyer position entails the following requirements and responsibilities.
Exceed budgeted goals set forth by Roundy?s in the categories that are managed.  This includes but is not exclusive to service level goals and inventory benchmarks. Works together with the replenishment purchasing team. Will procure and manage key categories, including diverting where applicable. Collaborate with the V.P. of Replenishment, Category Managers and Transportation employees to exceed benchmarks for gross profit and inventory controls. Assist Category Managers in developing forecasting to meet the needs of our retail stores. Work with the I.T. Department on the continued refinement of the BICEPS buying system. Develop new areas by creating efficiencies through the use of Transportation and inventory reduction strategies.Coordinate the implementation of supply chain initiatives among the Buying Staff. Support a world-class store within each division as defined by the Group V.P. of Supply Chain.  See the business unit as a part of the whole ? sacrifice for the greater good. Monitor and coordinate daily, weekly and period end gross profit and inventory reporting.

We require a Bachelors degree in operations management or equivalent, strong leadership skills, at least 5 years of purchasing experience preferably in the food industry. The selected candidate will have experience with ERP systems and strong competency in MS Office.
