Job Summary:

The Retail Planner is responsible for developing, executing and communicating strategic merchandise plans that support the financial objectives of the Retail Division.? The Planner works collaboratively with the merchant team to drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory levels and profitability.

Job Duties: ? Develops seasonal merchandise plans utilizing sales trends and market information to ensure appropriate inventory levelsDevelops assortment plans to represent the breadth of our product offeringsDevelops key item unit plansEffectively manages the Open-To-BuyMaintains appropriate inventory levels by storeAnalyzes sales to determine store needs by utilizing reports and inquiresDevelops and maintains merchandise reports

Qualifications: Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related retail planning experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills:Strong analytical skills including the ability to read, analyze and interpret general retail reportsFollows through with all assignments and job duties in a timely mannerStrong computer skills and experience with major retail planning software such as Arthur Planning or Island Pacific preferredDetail oriented and good with numbersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25 lbs, depending on needMust be able to sit most of the daySome travel required as necessaryAbility to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary
