Retail Sales Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Oversee the day to day operations of 8 retail stores located in the Central California area from Bakersfield to Modesto.  This position will be working out of the Fresno, California office.  Support and ensure objectives are accomplished through proper product ordering, employee scheduling and communication between stores and store personnel.  Supervise store personnel and ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures.  Support the Zone Store Operations Manager in meeting or exceeding Retail Sales goals in California. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Control budget, shrink, merchandise presentation, and overall operation within the 8 assigned stores.Supervise, coach, motivate and train retail store personnel.Recruit, select, train and retain new retail store personnel.Maintain accurate records and control expenses to achieve budget objectives while ensuring adequate staffing.Manage multiple projects simultaneously.Assist stores as needed, including cashiering, customer service and merchandising.Provide assistance and support to any of the 20 stores in California as needed.Daily travel between stores based on operational need.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 High School Diploma/GED required.Bachelors' degree preferred but not required.Minimum 3-5 years retail sales experience including 2 years supervisory experience.Management experience in retail (grocery or convenience store) preferred.  Multi-store management experience a plus.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain key working relationships.Strong communicaiton skills - both verbal and written.Strong planning and organizationsl skills.Basic level computer skills for business tracking and communication.Must be able to travel on a daily basis 95% of the time and travel overnight 5% of the time.
