Retail Senior Product Designer Luggage(NPK)

This company is an industry leading manufacturer and design house focused on Luggage and Travel Accessories.  This growing organization is looking for a talented Senior Designer/Senior Product Manager with experience in Luggage or Accessories.  This organization is looking for an individual that can manage all aspects of development from initial concept to final finished product.  In this position you will manage a team to achieve the company objectives in the development of Luggage and Travel Accessory products.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


 


·  Manage the product development and design process for all product categories.


·  Communicate cross-functionally between all teams and executive management.


·  Interpret direction on trend, color, fabric, trim, and concept for each season.


·  Negotiate costs and pricing.


·  Develop sourcing and product development strategies on a global basis.


·  Create designs and illustrations for all related product categories.


·  Travel both domestically and internationally to research trend.


·  Lead a team of Product Managers and Designers to achieve company objectives.


·  Work with outside agencies focused on Industrial Design, Engineering, and Promotion.


 


POSITION REQUIREMENTS


 


·  Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design preferred.


·  5+ years of Product Development or Design experience in Luggage or Travel Accessories.


·  1+ year in a management roll.


·  Understanding of product construction and details.


·  Experience in developing products from initial concept to execution.


·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.


·  Extensive overseas and domestic experience.


·  A great eye for trend and fashion.
