RETAIL STORE MANAGER TRAINEE

 

Rapidly expanding nationally known hardware and home products retailer is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager Trainee to join our team.  This opportunity is located in Anne Arundel County.  This opening will provide considerable opportunity for professional growth and development.  Successful individual must possess exceptional customer service skills, strong sense of urgency and flexibility, outstanding communication skills and the ability to build a customer service driven store team.  Responsibilities include:

 The ability to get results by successfully recruiting, orienting, training and motivating employees.  Being a change agent. Achieving financial objectives.  Analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions. Ensuring availability of merchandise and services by tracking and maintaining inventories. Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends. Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios. Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures. Determining marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records. Maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
