Currently, we have several openings for Sales Associates in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Reporting to the Store Manager, your goal is to perform all necessary store functions and to assist Store Manager in all aspects of retail store operations.  You will provide fast, courteous customer service, have good product knowledge and recommend add on sales in order to achieve sales. This entails proper handling of the cash register, charge cards, lottery, safe and register operational procedures, room charges (hotel stores), foreign funds, phone cards, transit tickets and stamps.

 

Your other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

?  Receiving, recording and pricing merchandise correctly according to category and ensuring that correct quantities are received to prevent shrinkage.

?  Completing daily / weekend cash reconciliation, end of shift procedures, deposits, etc. to comply with company policy and guidelines.

?  Running daily inspection of store prior to its opening/closing; ensuring that all appliances and light bulbs are in good order and merchandise/ basic standards in place to maintain the store in a clean and neat environment.

?  Keeping company property secure at all times according to company rules and regulations.

 

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with over 1 year experience in a retail/merchandising/ sales position.  Fluency in English, customer service aptitude and intermediate mathematical skills are required.  You must be punctual, accurate and trustworthy with good communication and organizational skills.  You must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. repeatedly, stand for long time periods, operate office equipment as well as cash register, pricing gun, ladder, cart and charge card machine. The ability to use humidors, cigarette machines, lotto machine, and security system is a plus.
