Job Description: Our client, a growing leader in the luxury goods / fashion industry seeks a hands-on executive to oversee the day to day operations as their Sr. Vice President of Operations to be based in the South West part of the U.S.

REPONSIBILITIES:?Oversee and maintain daily operations of US and Asia based officesDirectly manage, develop and motivate a staff of up to 75?Accountable for inventory control, purchasing, internal policies and procedures, conducting cost analysis, sourcing and purchasing, shipping, receiving, IT, prototyping and order intakeWill lead partnering efforts with vendors, to include negotiationsContinuous responsibility for introducing new designs into production; directly manages the process from conceptual design stage to production??Strives for continuous improvement of operations, policies and procedures, including development and implementation of best practicesDirect all operational activities and create proposals as well as plans for long-term strategic improvements to the operating systems; including the development and implementation of a rigorous system of internal controls bringing formality to the conduct of operations?across varied areas, namely inventory, prototyping, factory management and maturation, with the end result being solid quality assuranceSet-up initial cost analysis and review processesOptimize profitability and minimize costs without sacrificing brand and product integrityConduct ongoing risk assessment and checks for vulnerabilities relative to the IT hardware and software as well as processes, while keeping the company ahead of its own emerging technological needs

experience required:

?minimum 10 years experience as a VP of Operations or President, COO or CEO with a?major luxury goods, high end accessories, or fine jewelry manufacturer - no exceptionsExceptional planning, organizing and leadership skills in manufacturing environment in any of the above listed areas-no exceptionsPrior experience in aligning plans, programs and processes with the overall business objectives of the organization for both short and long termMust be willing to relocate to the South West.Must possess a top to bottom understanding of the market specifically as it relates to the luxury goods, accessories, fashion and fine jewelry marketsProven track record in space and facilities planningOutstanding staff training and development skillsExperience in working with a diverse team environmentMust possess exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills with an excellent command of the English languageThis is not a retail position...candidates must possess background and experience with a manufacturer in one of the areas described above, no exceptionsTraining for this position is not available, ideal candidates will have a verifiable track record in a similar operations position at the executive levelThis position reports directly to the President of the company
