STOCK SUPERVISOR

  We are enthusiastic about what we do and when customers walk into our stores they know it?  They are greeted with a friendly smile and an offer to help with their Gap shopping experience.  We are looking for a talented Stock Supervisor to oversee all stock and non-selling functions to maintain organizational systems and operational efficiency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead salesfloor replenishment.
Ensure the salesfloor is well stocked.
Ensure non-selling tasks do not compromise customer service.
Supervise all stock and non-selling functions.
Coach sales associates to maintain shipment productivity standards.
Support management team in the training of sales associates.
Facilitate productivity contests.
Provide effective performance feedback to sales associates.
Delegate and supervise tasks.
Monitor sales associate breaks and shift changes.
Conduct opening and closing procedures.
Perform manager-on-duty functions during non-selling hours.
Receive shipment and process paperwork.
Lead shipment processing with merchandising managers.
Maintain backroom merchandise, fixture, hardware and display item organization.
Interface with district manager and regional director.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
Planning, prioritizing, organization, time management, efficiency, communication, coaching, training and motivation skills.
Merchandise processing experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent

 

ABILITY TO:
Communicate with customer and store personnel
Maneuver around the salesfloor, stockroom and store office
Operate register
Process shipment
Lift and carry 30 pounds/13.61 kilograms
Carry boxes
Climb ladders
Fold merchandise
Work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends as dictated by the needs of the business.
