CarMax's 15 - 20% new store growth rate has created an increased need for more strong sales leaders to manage our commissioned sales teams. Our Sales Manager opportunities are available in multiple cities/states across the US. An ability to relocate with our growing company is always a plus. Don?t have automotive experience? No problem. CarMax offers an extensive sales management development training program. CarMax Sales Managers begin as Sales Managers in Training (SMIT) and are required to complete a 6-month training program that includes on-the-job store rotations in merchandising, business office, and operations.

CarMax Sales Managers are responsible for satisfying customer needs while leading and motivating a team of commissioned Sales Consultants to reach and/or exceed goals in a fast pace environment. They also are responsible for successfully executing short and long term goals including daily sales and associate development in addition to managing processes and budgets. Sales Managers are provided with several tools to assist them in being effective managers. One of these tools is a unique proprietary software system called Sales Manager Workbench developed in-house specifically to view the status of customer transactions and monitor the sales floor in real time.

Requirements:

~ 3+ years management experience preferably in a retail environment.

~ Must have proven ability to drive sales and effectively lead a team.

~ Customer service focused, energetic, team oriented, flexible and have excellent decision making, multi-tasking and motivational skills.
