Senior Control Buyer

POSITION SUMMARY:

In addition to regular Control Buying responsibility they will be responsible, in their transversal role, for the following:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Training New Associates on Inventory Systems and
?Act as Mentor for New Associates (be available for questions)

2. Train Inventory Associates on new systems and procedures
?Expertise on internal inventory systems and Tradbeam
?Work with IT Liaison on system modifications/changes
?Be available for User Testing

3. Do Welcome Training Seminar - introduction to Inventory for all new Associates
?Give brief introduction to Inventory and their role in a multi media channel business

4. Train new member of the Brand on inventory reports and systems that interact with Inventory (ie. Demand Analysis, MIAC, etc.)

5. Train interns on our systems

6. Involvement in Inventory Special Projects

7. Train to be back up for analyst position and prepare for next level advancement.

8. Control Buyer Responsibilities:
?Develop and forecast budgets
?Manage vendor communications through e-mail correspondence, phone follow up and/or vendor meetings
?Analyze trends within historical and current data
?Plan, project and analyze sales to maximize inventory productivity
?Negotiate cost concessions when placing re-orders
?Meet anticipated customer demands by reviewing and maintaining vendor lead times to determine when to place orders
?Identify overstocks for clearance
?Interact closely with Merchandising and Global Sourcing
?Build and maintain data base
?Analyze and adjust size/color selling
?Identify high return items
?Preparation for backorder, bump buy and buy plan meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
?5-7 years of Control Buyer experience
?Computer skills in Excel, Word
?Bachelor's Degree
