California Closets is the world?s leading brand in the category of customized storage solutions.  California Closets, a franchise system, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to work in our corporate office in San Rafael.  Working as a key member of California Closets Corporate team, the Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design, development, execution and production of a wide range of print and web projects for one of the most prestigious Brands in the country.

 

Candidates must be able to design with imagination and freshness to tight objectives and deadlines. This role calls for you to be bold in design technique and able to construct original and innovative designs.  You should enjoy bringing enthusiastic knowledge of trends in the visual arts and are able to leverage those trends to increase the marketing impact of the brand.

 

Responsibilities

Design and develop product catalogs, corporate collateral, launch kits, visual elements of advertising campaigns, sales tools, exhibit and event materials, presentations, product packaging and direct mail pieces.  Proof, preflight, and prepare files for press and attend press checks. Perform image compression, file correction, and optimization techniques.

 

Key area of responsibility is the contribution to the art direction of photo shoots and development of related visual elements, as well as collaboration with outside vendors to develop progressive and dynamic design for the web.

 


QualificationsBFA or related degree from a 4 year accredited University 5+ years designer experience working in the corporate or agency environment Macintosh platform experienceHighly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesignPower Point, MS Office skills a plusStrong knowledge of graphic, web and UI design principlesBasic understanding of  the capabilities and constraints of designing for the Web and in related technologies (HTML, style sheets, DHTML, etc) beneficialMarketing and sales collateral design experience a mustPackaging and in store display design capabilities Ability to work well with others in a team environment is essential Highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlinesStrong ability to prioritize and manage time independently some travel requiredPortfolio will be required for review at interview
