THE OPPORTUNITY:

Are you a seasoned inventory manager with retail experience? Do you love working on systems and processes to help support a 'traffic driving' category? Then the Operations manager position in the Supply Chain department is the job for you!



We seek candidates from brands or organizations that are very profitable and recognized in the business community as producing exceptional talent such as:

Target, Costco, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Office Max, K-mart/Sears, Best Buy, Office Depot, Federated, Lowe's, Staples.

WHAT YOU GET:

Base salary of $90-110,00 (+) plus generous bonus, comprehensive benefits and long term incentives.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsible for:All sourcing and private label branding activities for a specific category.Identify and Implement margin enhancement opportunities by either purchasing direct from the factory, aggregating demand under our owned brands, and/or managing interactions with third party vendors and service providers.Conduct monthly program updates and weekly SKU specific performance reviews with the business teams focusing on sales, inventory flow, promotions, and lifecycle managementHelp to support the business teams to identify the appropriate procurement approach through an in-depth analysis of the supply chain, the market place and industry landscape, and the key players.



Additional Responsibilities:Work with the buying teams to develop private label branding strategies and positioning in order to minimize dependency on non-value adding brands Promote the use of creative negotiation and sourcing tactics such as on-line auctions, pooled demand auctions, and competitive line reviews Partner with the Customs Compliance team to ensure that product is imported into the country in strict adherence to regulations Determine the costs and benefits associated with supply chain improvements that impact the business teams, transportation, logistics, accounting/Treasury, and retail operations Work with design firms to ensure that functional and aesthetically-pleasing products are developed to answer customers' needs



Technical Competencies:Knowledge of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics (preferred) Strong facilitation/presentation/project management skills (required)
