Sourcing Specialist - Hardlines

The Sourcing Specialist for Hardlines assists the Global Sourcing Director in the development of vendors and sourcing for direct import purchases.

Qualifications
The responsibilities of the Sourcing Specialist (Hardlines) include:

- Supports Director in the development of financial information, time lines, and merchandise details; handles related follow-up as necessary.

- Works in conjunction with Buyers and Product Development to prepare all sourcing details for products.

- Assists with preparation of target pricing, development of samples, and price negotiations as directed.

- Maintains awareness of all production issues and problems. Assists in resolving issues necessary to ensure on-time production and delivery of products.

- Interfaces with Quality Assurance, Merchandising and Product Development areas to ensure final product meets specifications.

- Utilizes supporting electronic systems to enhance efficiency of overall processes.

- Prepares reports containing feedback for Merchandising and Product Development on relevant product issues such as styles, new materials, and market or vendor changes.

- Develops vendor relationships as directed by Director.

- Travels globally as necessary to accomplish sourcing responsibilities.

- Manages the daily operations of Sourcing in absence of Director

Requirements include:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.

- Minimum of four (4) years product development, merchandising, merchandise planning, or sourcing experience or equivalent.

- Good knowledge and understanding of merchandising, merchandising processes and related systems.

- Good planning, organization, analytical, prioritization, and oral and written communication skills.
