District Manager - Southern California

Located in upscale regional malls and premiere shopping venues, our stores are recognized for providing unsurpassed quality in our products and impeccable customer service. To help support our growth strategy goals, we are looking for a proven professional to fill the position of District Manager for our Southern California District.

 

As a part of The Walking Company?s management team, you will be responsible for the success and profitability of the stores in our Southern California.  The District Manager?s role is to maximize sales, merchandise to company plans and direct sales staff toward optimal performance.  We are looking for a proven winner to maximize profitability by demonstrating skills in the following areas:

 

Responsibilities:

 Ensures appropriate store staffing in all stores Maintain company standards in all areas of operation. Approach business with a sense of urgency and a ?can do? attitude. Effectively merchandises the store to maximize sales. Train staff to effectively perform all job responsibilities. Lead by example, and set the selling floor standard. Ensure compliance with current employment laws. Assess store morale and resolve all issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 Two years multi site retail management experience preferred. Specific footwear retail experience preferred. Travel to 50%
