Space Planning Manager

CompUSA is currently seeking a Space Planning Manager to join our growing company. This key individual will be responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of the Space Planning Specialist and Analyst while acting as a liaison to Category Managers, Senior Management and Vendors. Develop mutually beneficial planograms in order to increase company sales and profit while reducing inventory levels. Implement effective Category Management business processes to satisfy consumers, meet company objectives, and grow CompUSA business.

Additional responsibilities include:


Direct Space Planning Specialist in regards to market trends, company trends and opportunities.


Identify and implement appropriate merchandising philosophies and strategies for each category.


Measure and communicate financial implications of proposed schematics.


Develop assortment and product-placement tactics.


Review planograms to ensure maximum return on available space.


Evaluate category, sub-category and product level finds to present to senior management.


Acquire additional resources as needed in order to grow the department.

To be successful in the position you will need the following:


Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing or related field.


3+ years of experience using schematic development software (Prospace) a must.


Demonstrated ability to use data to create plans and proposals.


1 to 3 years of Retailer and/or CPG experience.


Ability to manage, maintain and train several employees.


Must be able to present to and communicate with Category Managers, Senior Management and Vendors.


Must be a detail results oriented, driven problem solver.


This individual will possess superior interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with subordinates, peers, Senior Management, and those outside the company.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for training and managing Space Specialists.

This position is located in North Dallas off Beltline and the Tollway
