General Summary:
The Stock Person is primarily responsible for maintaining the stockroom in an organized, neat manner and for making sure that the selling floor is filled in with the appropriate levels of stock. The Stock Person will also assist with receiving merchandise shipments and assisting the store management with problems that arise with merchandise.
Summary of Responsibilities:
? Receive merchandise shipments and accurately check against manifest.
? Receive shipments of supplies and fixtures.
? Maintain shipment records neatly.
? Maintain the organization and cleanliness of stockroom.
? Assist in the merchandising of the selling floor.
? Assist with organizing sales, promotional events and physical inventory.
? Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
? One year previous sales or stock experience. Specialty store experience preferred.
? Strong interpersonal skills; adept at being a team player.
? Detail oriented and reliable.
? Ability to lift 40 lbs and carry up to 50 yards
? Must be able to work in a vigorous physical manner, standing or walking 90% of the workday.
