Achieve sales and customer satisfaction standards and goals by maximizing the customer's experience and the store's revenue. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing and evaluating store employees. Responsible for supervising and coaching all store employees. Manage all phases of store operations to ensure maximum sales and profitability through focusing on key business initiatives, store presentation, marketing execution, inventory management, customer service, loss prevention, payroll management, risk management, and daily operational cost control.

Responsible for communicating business initiatives, company sales, service, performance standards and goals.


Developing People:

Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and counsel store employees. Schedule, organize and direct assignments. Consult with District Leader and Human Resources regarding separations. Utilize available resources to assist in qualifying and selecting employees. Support promotions as appropriate.
Maintain, encourage and possess "ownership mentality".
Encourage store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; follow up on a regular basis.
Ensure staff completes required training programs.
Develop and implement employee performance evaluations and improvement plans.
Attend specific training classes to continue management growth.
Effectively manage employee turnover. Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
Evaluate current in-store processes, programs and systems for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities with District Leader.Store Experience:

Execute sales service models and strategies (with emphasis during peak business periods) to achieve sales and service goals.
Model, manage and reinforce service expectations of both internal and external customers to maximize overall customer experience.
Train and supervise store staff. Lead by example. Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions.
Ensure interior and exterior of store is maintained to company standards.
Managing Expenses:

Utilize labor management tools, including effective scheduling, to maximize productivity, profitability and margins.
Execute and monitor account maintenance procedures and programs to minimize bad debt to meet store specific targets.
Execute and monitor loss prevention and shrink programs and practices to minimize shrink to meet store-level targets.
Analyze store's financial data and take action to grow revenues, control costs, and ensure appropriate inventory management (maintain product and sell-through merchandise inventories) to achieve sales and profit goals.
Marketing Execution:

Communicate, execute, and manage marketing and merchandising programs to achieve key marketing initiatives.
Other:

Conduct regular store meetings and communicate business initiatives. Attend district meetings as needed.
Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
Maintain and utilize surveillance equipment.
Maintain adequate store supplies.
Manage store revenue, including cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to bank.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years retail sales/customer service experience.
At least 1 year prior supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of multi-unit retail operations.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively teach/develop others to next level.
General knowledge of movies.
Microsoft Office products.
