Store Planner / Allocator

Allocation Manager

 

BUSINESS/LOCATION:

New York & Company- Planning and Allocation

 

OVERVIEW:

Responsible for planning and analyzing the company?s inventory to ensure the proper

allocation of merchandise as well as forecasting sales in order to complete the proper flow

of merchandise to the correct stores at the correct time.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Research and analyze sales, demographics, history trends and climate changes

? Plan out open stock levels and merchandise mixes

? Ensure the correct flow of merchandise and monitor inventories

? Provide input to Buyers and Planners on test items, markdowns and transfers

? Distribute merchandise in preparation for new store openings

? Trace and monitor merchandise movement

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

? ?Number relations? skills and acute attention to detail

? Strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize work

? Computer literacy and keen sense of analysis

? Ability to work independently as well as in a team

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor?s Degree or related experience
