ARCHITECTURAL ACCOUNT MANAGER/SALES

I.  JOB SUMMARY

 

This position focuses on the promotion and specification of ceramic tile, natural stone, fabricated granite and related products to architects, interior designers and flooring contractors in the respective territories.  The Architectural Sales rep will be responsible for generating new business and profitable sales, increasing market share and building brand recognition for the company.

 II.  REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

 

Architectural Sales rep reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1) Plans and executes an effective activity management plan that meets or exceeds budgeted sales and profit objectives.

 

2)  Assists in the targeting and profitable development of clients and strategic partners.

 

3)  Executes service and  marketing activities designed to support the selling activity plans.

 

4)  Executes skill, knowledge and attitude self improvement plans designed to increase profitable relationship building capabilities.

 TASKS

 

1)  Utilizes an activity management tool (Action Planner) as an integral part of the sales process.

 

2) Follows a disciplined  activity schedule in order to  evaluate the effectiveness of the planned activities.

 

3)  Consistently accomplishes  measurable objectives  for each sales and support activity.

 

4)  Clearly understands and can effectively communicate selling edge attributes of companies selling propositions.

 

5) Build Customer relations through cold calls, luncheon presentations and product seminars.
