Account Executive - Higher Education

Requirements

- 1 plus years of business-to-business sales experience

- Demonstrated track record of achieving/exceeding sales quotas.

- Ability to successfully navigate the sales process and close sales either working face-to-face in the field or via telephone.

- Strong skills with respect to using the Internet to deliver product demonstrations.

- Ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.

- Well organized, with excellent command of setting sales priorities and manage time effectively.

- Flexible and proactive attitude, with a strong sense of urgency.

- Extensive experience using MS Office, specifically a strong command of MS PowerPoint functionality

- Bachelor's degree.

 

Ideal

- Business to business software or other technology sales experience

- Extensive experience selling to k-12 and/or higher education markets

- Prior experience as a trainer/facilitator or teacher

- Experience working with channel partners.

 

Responsibilities

- Sells company products and services through sales calls and sales presentations to both existing and prospective customers. This includes interacting directly with the customer, determining the customer needs, and evaluating sales potential.

- Develop and execute territory/account plans to achieve sales objectives and exceed quota.

- Develop existing education accounts and new prospects to drive large volume-license purchases.

- Build and deliver on an accurate territory pipeline.

- Leverage resources such as management, marketing, system engineers, and partners to provide solutions to customers' needs.

- Some travel within the assigned territory and to industry tradeshows is required.

 

Compensation package: A combination of salary and commisions paid as a result of achieving sales targets allows for individuals in this position to earn 6 plus figures
