Account Executive, Industrial Commodities

Our client is a global leader in commodity production and marketing.  With their extensive global marketing and distribution systems they have become the largest supplier within their industrial commodity category.  They currently employ over 800 people at multiple locations across the globe.  At this time, we are exclusively recruiting for an Account Executive (AE) for their location in Dallas, TX. 

 

The primary challenge for the AE will be to extract maximum value from their customer/business relationships the company while maintaining strong viable relationships.  The AE will be responsible for major accounts that have large volume requirements and for which the purchasing responsibility is handled by senior personnel within those accounts. Particular responsibilities include:

? Manage senior level customer relationships.

? Assuming lead role in the negotiation of long-term sales agreements for their accounts.

? Completely manage all aspects of the relationships ? volume forecasting, contractual performance; company and customer, receivables and developing multi-functional relationships.

 

The ideal candidate:

? Undergraduate degree required.

? 10 ? 15 years experience in sales and marketing with industrial commodities (chemicals, metals, minerals, paper pulp & glass).

? Complete understanding of the industrial commodity market including competitors, competitive products and actions with external major accounts.

? Clear and succinct communication skills; written and oral.

? Direct, forceful yet tactful.

? Goal oriented and motivated.
