DESCRIPTION:
Our client is currently seeking an Account Manager in the greater San Jose area to work side by side with their distributor sales force to promote their brands in both retail and on-premise accounts. The Account Manager reports to a District Manager; however he/she works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the territory. A high emphasis is placed on conducting promotional activities, building strong relationships with accounts, executing marketing plans and overall business maintenance within the account base.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
100% focus on selling new products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores).
Identify major accounts that are not being penetrated with BBC products and develop a plan with District Manager to establish rapport and business with such accounts.
Merchandise accounts by building displays, table tents, and displaying point of sale items.
Work with distributor to ensure orders are placed and products received at accounts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years experience in outside sales (candidates with sales abilities from inside sales or sales support roles will also be considered, as well as candidates from the hospitality industry, i.e., bartenders, servers, waiters).
Demonstrated knowledge in selling skills and working in an autonomous environment is a must. Bachelor's degree required.
Proven results oriented work experience. May include, but is not limited to: selling experience; restaurant or bar experience; liquor store experience, Enterprise Car Rental, E&J Gallo, Gallo Sales, etc.
COMPENSATION:
Base salary $32K to $42K plus 10% bonus, $500 Car Allowance, 80% gasoline reimbursement, laptop, 100% cell phone reimbursement, all home office expenses, $50 monthly ISP reimbursement, training programs, excellent healthcare benefits, a discount stock purchase plan, a 401K program with a generous company match, a competitive compensation package, a car allowance and an expense budget.
